Drawing Us Together - NAIDOC week

To recognise NAIDOC Week 2020, Singleton Square partnered with Sylvia Lockyer, a WA Pilbara indigenous author and four local schools to create a 12-page children’s story book based around social cohesion and community.

When the story was complete, Singleton Square submitted the content of the book to the participating schools who were asked to design the illustrations that would feature on each page.

Students from Singleton Public School, Kirkton Public School, Jerry's Plains School, Milbrodale Public School and King Street Public School all submitted a beautiful range of illustrations from students in Kindergarten to Year 6.  The artworks were then put on display in the September/October school holidays and the public were asked to lodge their votes for their favourite illustration.

With the voting now complete, we are thrilled to present final edition of our completed book titled, Pindan Dream Princess.
